Stem cell therapy in India
The first disease treated with stem cells was a severe form of anemia, called Fanconi anemia, 30 years ago. Since then there have been a lot of clinical studies on the efficiency and safety of stem cell treatment for a wide range of diseases. In the case of stem cell treatments, they must, once transplanted into the body, integrate and differentiate to give birth to new and healthy cells depending on the area where they were infused. For example, for neurological diseases treated with stem cells, they will have to differentiate into specific types of neurons and more, they will need to know what types of neurons to connect to, once implanted.
